Illegal cannabis: the gateway to crime?

Congress Room

Anyone caught with cannabis in Germany ends up in court. Every year 200,000 cases, that means 200,000 fates. Every day I get messages from young people who are in trouble with the law for smoking weed. It’s about fines, house searches, prison, and training positions, dismissals, driver’s licenses – it’s about the future of these young people. What are the consequences for the state and society?
